Rather embarrassingly the Lib Dem-led council have failed to secure funding to construct the access into the new P&R site resulting in the finished project now remaining closed.

The previous Conservative-led county council had plans to build the access as part of the A40 improvement plan which would have meant the dual carriageway from Witney being extended to Eynsham and this would have included the new access. Catastrophic Lib Dem mismanagement has ultimately led to an enormous waste of taxpayer money.

I will continue to put pressure on the council to get the A40 upgrades started as West Oxfordshire has been crying out for improvements to this key road since before I was born.
